In response to being quarantined during COVID-19, a once mediocre dwelling unit was redesigned into a livable greenhouse, bedroom, and home office space. WELL v2's Mind Concept was heavily referenced for this project.
Spaces that encourage Wellness at home will become a top priority in the near future, as people will spend more and more time there due to physical distancing, work-from-home policies, and the fear of the unknown.
An ideal indoor space during quarantine would therefore mimic being outside, one that has good air quality, is well lit for various types of tasks, is thermally and acoustically comfortable, and has elements that can mitigate stress, through the use of natural materials, greenery, art, and music.
In cities like Toronto where the winter months are long and the summers are short, Cloud Nine embodies many of the essential Wellness attributes that will carry one through the harsher months of quarantine.

Moreover, the integration of Smart Technology into Cloud Nine's space ensures that the relative humidity, temperature, light, and air quality is always optimized, for both the room user and the myriad of plants all year round. The controls are mobile through WIFI irrespective of distance and time.
